Jane Allan, Care Manager

I have a a degree in Psychology, with over 8 years professional experience in care/ support work. Experienced with mental health, physical disabilities, the elderly, dementia patients and many other complex needs.
I have studied business accounting, bookkeeping and am an organised individual who will strive to ensure Lakes Home Care delivers a reliable service that you can trust.
I am a positive, happy and loving person who will seek to ensure you or your loved one are treated with the same care I would extend to my own family.
I believe that beauty and happiness can be found in all stages of life. I have spent years taking people on outings and trips, having great conversations with individuals, offering support and companionship.
Everyone is different, whether looking for an adventure, afternoon tea with a beautiful view of the Lakes, someone to talk to. I believe that care is more than just support with basic needs and our ethos “a day filled with joy” was formed.
Since working in this fields as a young adult, seeing the joy that care can bring has given me a strong sense of purpose and a belief that a difference can be made.
This belief forms the heart and foundation of Lakes Home Care.

“From my experience, personal connection and continuous care are the most important things. Therefore I always take the time to get to know my clients.”

Molly Livesey

Registered Manager

Hello, I’m Molly. I love dipping in the lakes and walking in the fells with my little dog, Norman. I have 13 years experience in the care sector and have specialised in working with Autistic people as well as in residential homes for the elderly. Lakes Home Care has developed a dedicated, driven team who are committed to providing exceptional care to our clients. The motto of “a day filled with joy” truly runs through the veins of all employees and our ethos is to facilitate whatever the client wants. We help a lady in her 80’s to go skiing and a gentleman in his 70’s to go climbing. We do all we can to bring happiness to those we care for and I’m honoured to be a part of the team.

Carer

I came to UK from Spain (where I was born) looking for an adventure and, luckily, I’m still living it. Wellbeing and helping people to achieve this has always been my motivation, leading to me studying Psychology. This degree taught me the knowledge and skills to be able to connect and support people on their individual paths. I’ve always been aware of the importance to know and respect the needs of every person, and this is reflected in Lakes Home Care values, that’s why I feel lucky and grateful of being part of this team. I love being in the outdoors, long walks with my dog Kika, exploring new places and camping, however I also love staying at home with my ginger cat called Jazz, cooking, book binding and marbling!

“I originally come from Switzerland and have always enjoyed hiking in the mountains. Here I am fond of going out in the Lake District for lovely walks or staying in to cook or bake. I have a degree in Social Work and have always loved working with people. Every person can teach you new things and show you how they view the world. I have experience in working in residential care and have worked in different fosterhomes for young refugees. I really enjoy working for Lakes Home Care because I have enough time to get to know each individual and give them the support and care they need right now. Our team is so friendly and you can see that each of us enjoys what they do.”

I have over 16 years care experience, which started with caring for my mum who went blind. I really cherish connecting with clients and sharing stories of the lives we have lead alongside helping to support their needs. Other than enjoying travelling, the Lakes is home to me so having the opportunity to take clients out into the beautiful place we live is a pleasure. I really enjoy walking, swimming and gardening. I have experience with visual impairment, dementia and mental health among others.

I was born and raised in the Lakes, which ignited my passion for walking and being in nature. I love finding community and creativity in the outdoors. Through camping, cooking and travelling the world, I have been lucky enough to connect with people from all walks of life and share experiences with them. Initially working in childcare as a nanny, my work caring for adults with Lakes Home Care is an exciting new chapter, and so far has been the most beautiful and enriching experience. Being able to support and encourage clients with their independence, including hobbies and lifestyle choices has been a really lovely way to continue making memories with them. I have experience supporting people with a variety of needs including: Dementia, Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health, Autism and more.
