Whinlatter Forest
Whinlatter Forest owned by Forestry England and somewhere I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. They really are dedicated to making the forest experience available to everybody, with all terrain trampers available for hire.
Holker Hall
Holker Hall is a magnificent home, cafe and gardens. They have push wheelchairs available there (call ahead to reserve), everything there is accessible to wheelchair users with lovely food, tea and cakes.
Grange Over Sands Promenade
Grange-over-Sands PromenadeThis has blue badge parking right next to the promenade and then it is a lovely walk along the sea-front with a cafe to stop at on the front. Parking is next to the Commodore Inn, which serves delicious pub food.
Tarn Hows
Tarn Hows is owned by the National Trust. There’s a lovely circular walk around a beautiful lake, and an all-terrain tramper is available to rent free of charge.
Brockhole
Brockhole is a lovely place to visit on the edge of Lake Windermere. There’s a cafe and an accessible walk. It is also accessible via bus, with it’s own bus stop outside.
